Dear ATMdesk User,
NCR notified all its Customers and Partners, that there is an issue with NCR 66xx SelfServ ATMs: after re-booting NCR Windows with Aptra, NCR EPPs with Serial No 02650000 and less will be “dead”, the ATM re-boots permanently and will not come back into service LThis is why NCR warns all its Customers and Partners NOT to RE-BOOT effected 66xx ATMs!
This issue is NOT related to ATMdesk, but it effects the use of ATMdesk in the field L Re-booting a machine after using ATMdesk will create exactly this effect: the machines’ EPP will be “dead”, the machine will re-boot permanently, and it will not come back into service L
So the only recommendation we have for you at this point in time: please do NOT RE-BOOT NCR ATMs until NCR has a fix for this problem (estimated within the next 24 hours)! Every machine re-booted will be one “dead” EPP !!! If the machine works, let it work. And if the machine was switched off, leave it as is and do NOT RE-BOOT the machine again, until NCR has come with a fix for this issue…
This does of course NOT impact any NCR ATMs with our own UEPP3s “ZT598-JBxx” – these ATMs are not effected and may be re-booted as many times as you wish…
